Dear Fairburn Families,
It is time for 2017-18 Enrollment for new students. The enrollment applications will be available in the office on Thursday, April 27 to any incoming family that can prove residency in our attendance boundaries. Sibling priority enrollment will begin Friday April 28. New families may pick up applications on April 27 and enroll on May 1st.
Tuesday morning we honored our special parent volunteers. I know not all of you could stop by the Library, but I hope you know how much our staff and our students appreciate all you do for our school. It would be so easy just to ignore our pleas for help, but you took action and stepped up to make a difference, and you have made that difference for our 436 students this school year. THANK YOU!!!!
Wednesday, April 26 is Secretaries’ Day and I cannot express enough how fortunate we are to have Shawntee Montez, as our SAA, and Arminder Walker in our Fairburn Office. They help your students feel comfortable at school, they expertly handle many tasks at once all while keeping a smile on their faces and a positive “can do” attitude! I hope you have let them know how much you appreciate them this week!
Next week, May 1 - 5 is STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK. FAB and our Parent led Staff Appreciation Committee are planning several events and special treats for all of our Teachers, Administrators, Assistants, Itinerants, Custodial and Cafeteria staff members.
Finally, thank you to everyone that had a part in making last
Friday was such an amazing Birthday celebration! I honestly was so overwhelmed with the outpouring of kindness and generosity! The best part of my day was when the Fire Drill turned into a Flash Mob Dance party! I feel so fortunate every time I walk onto our campus! The stellar students, phenomenal teachers and expert staff make this school a very special place. The parents here give us all so much and we appreciate all of your help!
